Celebrating John Adams: 17th Annual San Francisco Arts Medallion Honoree

We are thrilled to celebrate the acclaimed composer John Adams at our 17th Annual San Francisco Arts Medallion event.

With his unparalleled talent and unwavering commitment, Pulitzer and Grammy award-winning composer, conductor, author and mentor John Adams has profoundly impacted San Francisco's performing arts culture. Adams's collaborations with the San Francisco Symphony, where he served as its first Composer-in-Residence and wrote and premiered seven works, and the San Francisco Opera, which has commissioned and premiered four of his operas, have continually redefined artistic boundaries, infusing our city with a fresh and innovative artistic pulse.

Visit our site for more information on John Adams and history of the San Francisco Arts Medallion.

Stay tuned for more details about the event, scheduled for early spring 2024.
