Reception Gallery

The galleries of the Museum of Performance & Design are available for rental to outside groups for:

  • Parties
  • Receptions
  • Lectures
  • Services
  • Concerts and Recitals
  • Classes

MPD offers access to our main, reception, and hallway galleries, accomodating from 50 to 300 people, depending on the type of event.

Although food and drink are not allowed in the main gallery, the hallway and reception gallery are ideal for catered events.

Rental includes one MPD event manager, access to the current featured exhibition and access to tables, chairs and event furnishings. Guided tours for your guest are available at additiional cost.

The main gallery includes a rear projection screen, seating for up to 80 people, sound system, a baby grand piano, and a small stage for presentations. Additional feesmay apply.

FEES

Fees apply where events do not conflict with MPD’s regular schedule. Closure of the Museum or Library to the general public may require additional fees. Please note that our mission to serve performing artists and performing arts organizations allows us to negotiate lower than stated fees for qualified applicants.

Commercial Rate
$300 per hour, plus staffing fees*

Non-Profit Rate
$200 per hour, plus staffing fees*

*Additional staff required to manage your event is billed at $50 per hour per person.
