2011 SAN FRANCISCO ARTS MEDALLION

Delia Fleishhacker Erlich

 

2011 Arts Medallion honoree Delia Fleishhacker Ehrlich has a long and distinguished history as a leader in the performing arts in San Francisco. Delia, a third generation San Franciscan, has worked for more than 40 years in the non-profit arena and was instrumental in launching Macy’s annual Passport AIDS fundraiser.  She is on the Board of the Fleishhacker Foundation, the Magic Theater, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, the Conservatory’s Society Committee and the 25th Anniversary Committee of the Young Performers Theater.

Delia was Director of Community Relations for Macy’s West for 24 years, she retired in 2000.  Delia is well known throughout the cultural community in San Francisco for her endless efforts on behalf of the arts.

The Arts Medallion was presented at the luncheon May 31, 2011 at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Special guests included Mistress of Ceremonies Merla Zellerbach, with tribute by David Fleishhacker. Musical guests included students from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and pianist Alan Choy.
